Hi! Iโm Florence, and right now Iโm mostly brainrotting about Splatoon. You can find my works on AO3 here!
I tend to write very introspective stories, with a big focus on deeper characterizations of some of the (canonically usually rather flat) Splatoon characters.

Sterile Equilibrium is a my recent Calf1sh fic, written with the goal of really getting into Dedf1shโs head. While it does feature the ship, itโs primarily about Dedf1sh coming to terms with everything and learning how to adapt to life on the service after all that has happened to her while also staying true to herself.

Dissonance Disaster is the predecessor to Sterile Equilibrium, detailing Callieโs point of view during the Splatoon 2 story mode, why she willingly put the shades back on for the rematches, and the aftermath of everything.
Just the Two of Us is an RP-turned-story between my friend Entomolojest and me. The Octarians had made a clone of Callie during her kidnapping, as a failsafe in case Octavioโs plan would fail, and only after multiple years of blissful ignorance does she escape from the domes. When she meets her blueprint, things get pretty rough.
Scar Buddies is a fic about Neo Agent 3 getting affected and slowly brainwashed by the fuzzy ink, all while the New NSS members do their best to care for their injuries.
My current icon is by JakeArison, while my header is by Donhi!

beastly reminder

Almost. Years ago my computer suddenly stopped working and lost everything on it. Fortunately a relatively recent backup still existed bc of my family, a recent parts switch, and dumb luck. But last year a friend of mine got hacked and lost close to everything he had done creatively in the last 17-ish years. Art. Novels in progress. Entire conlangs. DnD character Sheets. Music he had made. All gone. He never backed any of it up. Few months later I started this habit (or ritual, almost) of drawing a reminder beast any time I would make a full complete backup. In hopes that seeing these things might remind others and myself. (Another factor here is that I am an animator and some of the stuff on my computer took literal years to make. And the film university I go to urges us to take this stuff seriously, too.)
Yet another face rendering practice, this one being Pirate Otter Spider by @possiblycringe! Super happy with how the shading turned out here, the tentacles in particular I'm rly happy with.
